The Chevalier Alexis Lichine rose pays d’oc, Cinsault Grape is produced on the Cos d’Estournel estate. It is surrounded by some of the most excellent Bordeaux wine merchants, and winemakers found anywhere in the region. Produced is a rosé that is exceptionally light and clear with a rich, pleasing flavour profile largely consisting of red fruit.
The taste and notes of this wine are so distinctive that the wine connoisseur Alexis Lichine was able to identify the origin and year of a bottle through sipping alone. This is a challenge that even the greatest of connoisseurs fear due to its difficulty. The bouquet featured subtle with fragrances of forest undergrowth, fruits and cedar wood, probably indicating a Médoc. However, it was the fullness of this 1929 bottle and its chocolately taste that led Alexis Lichine to his identification. The usual persistent tannins had disappeared with age.
- Aromas: Very expressive and fruity, with notes of red fruit, strawberries, and spices.
- Serving recommendations: This is a rosé that may be served with cold meats, salads, grilled meat, barbecued meat, cheese, fondues, and raclettes to achieve great results. It is also an ideal partner for aperitifs, salads, and barbecues.

Where we deliver and how much it costsDelivery to the UK mainland is next day providing we receive the order before 1 pm. The delivery charge is £7.00 per delivery. We also deliver to: Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, the delivery cost is £12.00 per delivery. All UK deliveries are sent with tracking information to allow you to track your order from the day it is posted to when it appears at the recipient’s front door.
Cut-off time for next day deliveryOrders received before 1 pm are dispatched for next working day delivery. Please ensure that you give us the correct address and full postcode where a recipient will be able to accept a package, as we cannot be held responsible for any parcels not delivered or collected due to incorrect delivery information or if the recipient is away at the time. Please note that if an order is returned to us as a result of the recipient not being able to take delivery for any reason, we may need to charge an additional delivery charge to re-deliver. It is also useful if you can provide us with a contact telephone number for the recipient so we can contact them if necessary – you will be asked for this when you enter the delivery details during the checkout process. If you are not sure if a recipient will be at home, we recommend delivery to a work address where possible.
